“Musical Evenings in Chinmaya Vibhooti”

7th & 8th November 2009 at Chinmaya Vibhooti, Kolwan.

For Chinmaya Naada Bindu, 7th and 8th November 2009 were days of great importance.

Around 60 Chinmaya Dham Yatris, who travelled in the holy presence of Pujya Guruji, Swami Tejomayanandaji, to various centres of Chinmaya Mission in India, and many other visitors to Chinmaya Vibhooti were treated to two beautiful evenings of Hindustani classical instrumental music by renowned artists.

On 7th November, Ms. Kala Ramnath created magic with her 'Singing Violin', with Raag Shudh Kalyan, followed by one of her album compositions.

On 8th November, Smt. Seema Shirodkar carried away the audience with the charm of Raag Jhinhoti, following it up with the more serious Raag Prateeksha on the 'Samvadini' (Harmonium).

Both the artists were ably accompanied by Shri Vishwanath Shirodkar on the Tabla, in true supportive style.

The three artists were blessed by Pujya Guruji, who said they were great assets to Chinmaya Naada Bindu. The 'Seva Bhava' of the artists was greatly appreciated by all present.

On 8th November morning, Chinmaya Maruti was adorned with the 'Prabhavali' which was unveiled by Pujya Guruji. Guruji narrated six notable anecdotes in the life of Hanumanji, one each in between seven Hanuman Chalisas changed in different tunes.
During the 'Rajopachar', besides the other means of entertaining the Lord, including parts of the 4 Vedas, chants, songs, etc., Smt. Ramaa Bharadvaj, Dance Director - Chinmaya Naada Bindu, also danced impromptu to 'Sri Ramachandra Krupalu Bhaja Mana' sung by Pujya Guruji. This culminated the morning rituals at the temple, leaving all thirsty for the evening quota of music.
